Deer Park Union Free School District Reviews
My daughter recently completed the Kindergarten program. Her teacher was amazing, they offer a ton of push in services for all of the students not just those who are falling behind. JQA truly feels like a family. Very excited for 1st grade!
I thought that this school was both involved but unsafe. The amount of problems among the children in the school continue to grow. When children should be in class they roam around the hallways. The teachers try their best however the children will not listen. Most teachers teach very well their especially in the math and sciece departments, however all teachers have different ways of teaching their children and some students may find a certain way unbeneficial to them. The thing I would love to see change at this school is definitely the safety of children. They shouldn't be able to cut class whenever they want and get a warning card. This should be taken very seriously however other than that the school was amazing and pushed me to work harder and better myself for the future.
Over the course of my school years, I've seen several changes and improvements made to the schools in Deer Park. The school district is actively looking for ways to better the structure of its schools and the quality of education they offer. From pre-kindergarten to senior year, I interacted with a kind and helpful array of teachers, a responsible school faculty, a group of kids diverse in thought and in culture, and a rich education. Resources such as tutoring, both at school and outside of school, and social workers were readily available, as were extra-curricular activities, from academic-themed clubs to language-based clubs to sports.
