I feel fortunate to have attended the Deer Creek Public School system. The academics are taught by teachers who not only want to see you succeed in the classroom, but also in life. The only setback is the shortage of staff that exists, however, quality presides over quantity, in my opinion. The diversity at the school is unexpectedly broad for such a rural district. I have met students from India, South America, and even a bus driver that was raised in England. I feel that the school system, performs well in preparing students for college through its vast offers of resources and facilities. The schools at all grade levels offer numerous after-school clubs and activities that satisfy a wide range of interests. The safety and culture of the school also and stand out amongst surrounding school districts. The food quality I personally cannot attest to, but the variety that is offered is immense. One distinct characteristic of the schools is the parent involvement via Facebook.

While many Oklahoma schools are in some serious binds due to the shortcomings of our goverment and lack if its support. Deer Creek has an abundance of support from the community. It is a gem of diversity. It is not devoid of issues among students because children will always have emotional uncertainty. In my experience, once the students reach the intermediate school there is support for those issues.
Deer Creek high school is a very great place. I love my school. The teaching staff could be a little better, but overall the teachers are very friendly. The teachers here even stay late after class or will come to school early to meet with a student if they need help. The sports are crazy! Deer Creek has such great student involvement and supports mostly every sport. Speaking of involvement, Deer Creek has a philanthropy week every year to raise money for a selected charity. It is amazing. Being a member of Student Council, I get to experience how great it is to help a cause that is bigger than just our high school.
