I am a senior at Deer Creek High School. I have been here since kindergarten and I absolutely love it! The teachers, administration, and staff are amazing and so helpful. The actual material that we learn gets us ready for college and it’s very helpful. The athletics at DC are very entertaining and fun to watch.

Deer Creek offers a very solid education for those who wish to attend their schools. Because of Deer Creek's location, it collects a wide variety of students ranging from those who live in the city and those who live on the countryside. It is a great school to attend for a basic education and a loving community. The only thing that I would change about Deer Creek, is their level of commitment to other programs. Deer Creek is absolutely perfect for sports because a majority of the school highly supports the department. The level of support for the Arts however, is not equivalent. There's definitely a bit of a gap, but it could just be due to the lack of exposure to the student body and parents. The drama department for example, only puts out a single play Fall, and one musical in the Spring, and because it isn’t as frequent as the seasonal games from sports, that could be why the Arts aren’t so prevalent. The arts programs are however, still high quality and worth participation.
I was a senior last year and all of my teachers were great. But the teachers I had had been there for a few years. Every year we get a ton of new teachers due to the fact that Deer Creek schools does not get the correct funding. Some sports get more money than others even if some of the money goes to other sports. Football and boys basketball get better treatment. If you want to play volleyball for Deer Creek High School, make sure you have either been in club ball for 1 year or are currently playing club ball because the coach doesn’t want anyone that has not played either one of those. It doesn’t matter if you have experience🙄She does not care. They could have prepped us for college a lot more than we did. But overall out of the 13 years I was there, I loved the district.
