Deckerville is known as a nice little town in Michigan. Mostly known for our football team nowadays. However academics has always come first for our school. Starting with teachers giving the right amount of information to learn, parents helping children study, and students using the tools to succeed.

I feel as though the staff at Deckerville Community Schools truly want their students to succeed. They are limited, however, by poor elective choices for class and little to no clubs and activities. Being a small school, this is to be expected, but its a shame to see the talent around me unable to flourish. Overall, the desire for most parents and staff is to see the students grow up and leave our small town, bound for greatness, and while few accomplish this, I value the influence the people around me have given, and plan to expand my horizons as well.
I liked the friendly atmosphere of Deckerville High School, but I would have liked I better variety of elective classes. The teachers are very helpful when I do not understand some of the class content.
