I attend Millikin University, and so far I love it! I am double majoring in Philosophy and Political science with a minor in Criminal justice. The campus is small, so it is easy to set up meetings with advisors if one is concerned about anything.
DPS has a knack for finding very good teachers who enjoy reaching out to students, but the culture of the school can feel very aggressive. The administration are terrible with IEPs, but the individual teachers in the SpEd program are wonderful. I think you can some up a lot of DPS like that: terrible, garbage fire administration (with a few wonderful exceptions), and amazing, ambitious teachers (with a few grumpy exceptions).
It was great overall. All of my teachers are the reason why i am shaped into a great young man. They taught me life lessons even though they’re told to teach us strictly education. I feel like an improved version of myself. I am very happy with the outcome of my life so far!
