I attended Decatur High School. It was a fantastic experience for me. The Academic was very rigorous. The teacher were thorough and challenged me to be the best that I can be. Subjects were presented in a way that kept me engaged in class. It was the ultimate competitive environment. Sports and activities are encouraged and supported by the staff, parents and community. This motivated students to get envolved and strive to be a part of winning organizations and teams. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Go Bulldogs!

I truly enjoyed my experience in elementary and middle school. I received a lot of support from my ESS team teachers regarding my learning disabilities. However, in high school, I did not receive as much support because of the scale of the school. I would recommend the amazing faculty and the wonderful resources within the small town of Decatur to any student. I think the best way Decatur could improve is to provide better support for students with disabilities in the high school specifically by allocating more funds toward supplemental materials and training for teachers.
Great school system! The area is very diverse. The homes can be pricey, but well worth it. Very family oriented and many of the residents seem to have a sense of community with their neighborhoods.
