D.C Everest is a great school district for families within the Central Wisconsin area. While diversity lacks in the upper high school area, students are fairly open minded, and there are little to no problems with race or ethnicity at school. The teachers and staff are amazing, putting students first in the classroom. While D.C Everest does offer Advance Placement, I'd recommend courses that stick to traditional classroom teaching because of the rush of pushing information for AP testing, instead of allowing students to learn and enjoy the content put before them. With a recent referendum, D.C Everest is one of the most advanced school district when it comes to technology and STEM learning, and the many programs that reach out to local community colleges helps keep a majority of students on a track to college. Based on personal experience, D.C Everest offers the most to its students making it an very good school for student, teachers, and community members.
D.C. Everest always works to achieve the best for their students and families! It was especially noticeable during the pandemic with the waiving of lunch and athletic fees as well as positioning food trucks throughout the district handing out free bags of food.
90% of my teachers were amazing, they did everything to help their students succeed. Not only were they excellent teachers, but they were even better friends to me. My athletic experience through the school was just as great as the academic, I learned and grew through lifting and soccer. Socially, it was great, my class was very accepting and I had made friends with many differ not people. One of the only things I wasn’t a big fan of was the lunch schedule, it was short and sometimes I didn’t have pre-existing friends, but it was a great opportunity to make more.
