Davison is a great High School. We have so many teachers that are truly invested in the kids. If I need extra help I have several teachers I can go to that will help me regardless if that is their subject or not. I have a lot of friends in the school and we all feel understood and if there is something that needs to be talked about, I know the Principal will help us. I love that we have several subjects outside of the Core classes that we can delve into to discover what our passion is. The sports programs here are the best! Between our Wrestling, Football, Bowler we are top notch. The counselors try their best to see us as soon as possible to help us with any problems or situations that may occur. Helping me to pick my next destination/technical college was huge and I was so appreciate that hey helped me to get in touch with someone for the program to talk to. The secretaries are all very helpful and try to make sure the students feel welcome at any time.
What I appreciate about Davison high-school is that there is many extracurriculars that students can join. From sports such as Track and Football to clubs such as Bible club and Anime Club. With many extracurriculars students are allowed to grow and connect with others allowing school spirit to grow. A thing I would change about Davison is having a better control on behavior issues. These issues would include drugs such as vapes. I personally wish they would be tougher on students in this area, because smelling people vaping in the bathroom everyday is sickening.
We live in this community and have two young children in the school system here. We have had nothing but good experiences at the different buildings our kids have been at: Cardinal's Nest, Thomson, and Central. The teachers have all been wonderful-good at communication, easy to access/speak too, etc. Schools are in good repair and there is good upkeep on the grounds. I love how as parents the district leaders ask our opinions on wanted repairs, school upgrades, etc. We are happy campers here and highly recommend this district!
