I loved my school district. I graduated from Syracuse High. The Superintendent and Staff very attentive. Loooved the Attendance Policy. Kept us in school!

Davis School District provided me the tools necessary to achieve my dreams. I aspire to welcome the change and encourage my peers to do the same. Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple expressed that “the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do it.” A college dropout, Jobs chased what he loved. Avoiding the contemporary and normal, he pursued change. Visiting Stanford University in 2005, Steve Jobs declared, “Stay hungry, stay foolish.” His point culminates in two ideas: never stop learning and always stay the course of your heart. I hope to live up every day to that motto. Stay hungry, stay foolish.

Long live Davis School District!

I love the people of David School District. The majority of them are willing to go out of their way, smile, and help out! The school I go to, Viewmont, also has AMAZING school spirit, which has been really nice for getting kids motivated to be involved.
As for changing things, I would say where the budget goes. Davis School District has a bad habit of pooling all of its money in one project while giving the scraps to the other schools. At least, that’s how it’s felt with recent renovations.
Any other year I would have given Davis School District a five star rating. Davis School District is not doing the right thing by putting all schools on a four day schedule. All schools my district have been on a two day schedual whereas half of the student body goes to school on Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays depeding on last names. The district guildlines have stated that in the event any school in the district have 15 active Covid-19 cases the school will shut down. There have been three schools shut down already and my school is close. Davis School District has the highest number of cases out of any other districts in the state, therfore, it is not safe to re-combine the student body. Davis School district must listen to parents and students and re-evaluate thier plan and make a better, smarter, decision.
