I appreciate the experiences Davis School District has given me. They have given me the resources I've needed to reach my academic, social, and athletic goals. Farmington High school's curriculum is through the Summit learning program. This program has aided me in getting A's more than any other curriculum has because of its self-learning style. Most of my teachers know who I am individually and have dedicated one-on-one time to help me succeed in their classes. Having a good support system where I feel my teachers really care about me has made school much easier. There is a wide variety of clubs available at my school making it easy to find a passion and create friends. My only critique of Davis School District would be giving more support to the teachers. I believe that the more support the teachers are given the better education experience the students will receive.
Davis is an okay school district, there is nothing exceptional, but everything but food is moderately passable as adequate. The food is Terrible! There is so little food and what food there is is terrible!
My experience with Davis school district has been a mostly positive one, although I think that there needs to be more accessible helpful high school to college information. My school has done a very good job at getting the students familiarized with the idea of college and some different opportunities, but things that can be done at the high school such as earning your associates degree by graduation, or different scholarship opportunities such as the edge scholarship, are not told to the students. Luckily for me, I was one of the few students to learn of the edge scholarship, and during my senior year, I was told that I could have graduated with my associates degree if I had started earlier. So, I think just having that information easier to access could be very helpful to students and parents.
