For the most part, this district does a very fine job. When the road my school is located on was under construction, getting to and from school was incredibly difficult. You had to leave 30 minutes earlier than you had left previously, and even then you might not make it on time. Traffic was always congested, however, the district was very kind and sent food trucks to our school! When we didn't have to leave the campus to find good food, there were less accidents, more students were on time to the post bell, and it provided many great food choices before us.

Sometimes the district even lets us have snow days! But those are very few, and that's a bummer. I think its very respectable when we are let go for half-days due to the snow because we don't have to make those ones up later on.

I grew up going to school in Davis School District. For the most part it was great, good opportunities and decent schools. My main issue with the school district was the teachers. I had some amazing teachers, don't get me wrong! But about half of the teachers I came across were awful! It was very obvious that a lot of teachers did not want to be there, talking to me, teaching their classes, dealing with students.
I like to have teachers who are passionate and who you can tell actually care. I understand there will be few teachers like that everywhere, but in my experience it was half and half with good and bad teachers.
Davis School District is a wonderful place to grow up and attend school. The teachers and faculty are passionate about what they do, and love the students. There are many opportunities for students to learn, be apart of clubs and organizations, participate in sports, and much more. The community is wonderful, and very social. If you are looking for a social and good community yet a good district for education, Davis School District is the place for you. However, throughout my time in this district, there has been a lot of construction on various schools and especially the roads. The large construction projects has slightly interfered with the students learning. It has been somewhat distracting and making it difficult to get around the area and the schools. Davis School District is still a great place for learning and to get a good education and make lasting friendships.
