"I'm surprised you didn't do more with your life", said the youngest of 5 siblings to the middle child. The statement was said in a public environment not at all available for interactive discussion. While the other children were socially with active activities, the perceived underachiever spent a childhood void of interaction with anyone other than immediate family due to being afflicted with asthma. At 8 years old, due to pneumonia, he started school after Halloween. The mother, impatient with the sickly child, yelled, "Can't you just relax!" during an aggravated wheezing attack.
A sole memorable interaction with a classmate occurred during the final days leading up to graduation when Jalayne expressed, "I hope you break out of your shell." It didn't happen. College was a socially frightful option; it felt safer to move to out of state. "Charlie" had proven to be the most important person in his life by providing a contact that made the distant move a reality.

Dansville is a wonderful school, we have exceptional technology for the area with each student being supplied a Chromebook for use not only in the classroom but at home as well. The teachers do an incredible job preparing students the best they can for life after graduation. With this, Dansville isn't perfect. There is a lot of room for improvement in their staff/teacher to student communication. Plenty of emails are sent out to students a day but seemingly no important information makes the group.
I am a Dansville Central School graduate, being a part of the class of 2014.
I was a drama kid so that was an awesome experience. I played XC and it was fabulous; our coach Auble was so kind and generous.
The academics were very good for a school such as Dansville, being that it resided in a poorer neighborhood than most.
I feel like it adequately prepared me for my undergraduate experience!
