Overall, I received an excellent education in Coweta County. Up until my senior year, I felt the curriculum was challenging, but because of some certain administrative changes, there was more of a push just to get us graduated rather than challenge us to be the best at all we do. Sports were an extremely positive experience for me. I was a varsity soccer player as well as ran varsity cross country. I definitely loved my high school years!

CCSS offers a large variety of educational opportunities to the students. All of the middle schools do an excellent job of preparing the kids for high school. If you qualify you can take high school level classes and earn credits while in middle school. Once you are in high school students are given choices as to how, where and when they want to learn. You can take some classes online, at a technical school setting and even earn college credit if you want to. Coweta County is very innovative in their approach to educating the students. If you do not find some level of success while in the school system, then you didn't take advantage of what was offered to you.
Coweta County Schools uphold the State Standards and offer a well-rounded curriculum. Some things that would help improve these schools is a focus on a healthy student schedule with enough time for recess and more access to extra-curricular activities where students can be stress-free. Although there are devoted teachers that motivate students to be successful, there are a few who give excessive work or who do not establish a good relationship with the student. Student safety is a top-priority for the Coweta School System, as well as a priority in volunteer and fundraising events.
