Coventry schools do an excellent job of preparing students for their future whether it be college, trade school, military, or the work force. The high school in particular has programs in place to assist students, including college prep programs, rotc programs, and a career and technical center.

Though I have made many friends and been influenced by many exceptional teachers throughout my years in the Coventry Schools district, I must point out the oppressive dreariness of the school buildings. Though attempts have been made to decorate the schools with artwork, the halls, bathrooms and classrooms still resemble a correctional facility more than a positive, and upbeat learning environment. I have also come to learn that the budget allowed to my high school is not fully utilized, and would recommend more substantial investments in the school's female sports teams, as well as the implementation of online assisted learning services such as Edgenuity. Seeing as we are given laptops already, along with the recognition that teachers are not payed overtime for the after-school hours allotted to additional assistance to their students, I think the investment in this thorough, step-by-step learning aid would be beneficial to the success of hundreds of students throughout the district.
I have spent my entire life in the Coventry Public School system and while budgeting has slashed many programs the environment has been excellent. Most of what is wrong is out of the hands of those within the system. The high school has a lot to offer and the middle school prepares for high school well. Guidance has been very helpful in my college search process. The passion the teachers have for their students is uncompared. Everyone tries to make school a positive experience for the students. Administration really does try their best.
