The thing I enjoyed most about Cossatot River School District is the passion that it's teachers and faculty bring to the table. Never once while working with them to further myself have I felt that I do not belong or that they cannot see my plight. Despite this, there are shortcomings, though most could be attributed to the social and economic status of most of those who reside in the Cove area. Students can be shortsighted and even apathetic about their own futures and this has led to instances of poor if not destructive decision making.

My experience is Cossatot River was a good experience because they made sure that every student was cared for and excelled in everything that they do. Cossatot River is a good place for education and growing as a person. I would like to see changes such as more classes that involve outside skills such as learning how to write a check, balance a check book, and how to apply for a job.
Other things that I would like to see at my school is that more one on one time with the teachers that gives the student more confidence when it comes to talking to adults.
This school district does not motivate their students to succeed and provide the teachers with very low resources. This school has a very low graduation rate, high teen pregnancy rate, and significantly low test scores. However, it has a small town community feel and has a very good ESL program.
