Corona-Norco Unified School District Reviews
This school district really cares about the students. Being a parent of a high and middle schooler I moved here in September 2019. I mainly picked this area because of the amazing schools! They will inform you by certified mail if necessary to make sure your child is on track. Coming from overcrowded Long Beach Schools, it’s great to be in a district where the Administers and teachers engage with students and their families keeping us very informed!
I have had an amazing experience with this school district! I went to all types of schools my elementary was not the best academically but the teachers there cared about their students so much. My middle school was a lottery school so I was lucky enough to get into this school. I was small and everyone was very close and the teachers there were amazing! I love my high school and my favorite thing about our district is how AVID has been implemented in all grades. CNUSD is a very caring district where they do so much for the families in need such.
The district itself is very advanced in technology, but its the lacking of preparedness (even before Covid-19) and clarity of information. As a transfer student, I was lucky to have a strong personality and find very kind, informative students (which aren't hard to find) which made my transfer smoother. The classes are paced exactly as one would think, and despite having heard of other teachers that don't, the teachers are very caring and open-minded. It is not a High School musical; racism, disrespect, and other stereotypical realistic things occur, but overall, the bonds one will make and the impact possible is great.
