At Conroe high school everyone is very involved and students are encouraged to do their best. My experience here has been short due to only being her a year and a half, but the teachers make it worth it! I love all of my teachers even if I tend to not like the subjects. They always engage us students in activities to help motivate us to do our best. Something I would change though would probably have been the language class I chose to take because I’m not very good at Spanish! All in all my experience has been fun and interesting!
Conroe independent school district is amazing. They always have fun activities for the schools to do together, which helps create a nice competitive atmosphere in the athletic world. I used to play volleyball and run track for Conroe High school, and whenever we would do district building activities it always allowed a healthy relationship between competitors to grow. The staffing in this district is wonderful as well, very kind and helpful people. Everyone that I encounter was really looking out for the benefit of the students. The only thing I would say is considered a problem is the frequent construction at each school. I am sure that the schools are big enough for the growing student population, which causes there to be frequent builds to add more space. I will say the district does it's best to finish all construction during the summer, but sometimes it does take longer than expected. This problem never hindered my learning, but was annoying.
CISD is a rigorous district that expects nothing but the best from it’s students. However, it can sometimes be too demanding and place unneeded pressure on upperclassmen. It provides a myriad of opportunities for students interested in almost every field such as sports, music, theatre, arts, writing etc. while also focusing on preparing the students for college through the use of AP classes offered by College Board, honors societies, and UIL competitions. The district has high expectations including that kids be able to juggle 6 AP/DC classes, sports, homework, clubs, and other extra curricular activities. The stress students experience is quite intense and not for the weak minded.
