Conemaugh Valley School District Reviews
I experienced Conemaugh Valley School District from the 5th grade all the way to my 2018 senior year. Conemaugh Valley teachers will go above and beyond for their students, but the staff are the most difficult and rude people you will meet. The high school's secretaries are the most stuck up and rude women in the area, they treat the teachers and other staff like garbage and students worse. The principal have very unsavory rumors about him and the secretaries. I loved all my teachers and they get paid close to minimum wage, mot teachers stay after hours and on weekends just to get their mountains of work done. The school district is also very cheap, both the high school and elementary share one nurse, the two schools are a good distance away. I know that Conemaugh Valley can be better if the principal actually did his job to lead the school and befriend students, the high school can also do without the secretaries making the whole school be more informed and have a better atmosphere.
I like how caring and down to earth certain teachers are, however I'd change a great deal. The administration is not for the students well being, the secretaries in the office are not very friendly, no one gets disciplined, teachers talk badly about their students to other students, there is mold and roof leaks throughout the entire school, and at least once a year there is a mouse problem in the Home Ec. Room or Cafeteria.
Valley has always been my home but its kind of bad. The food is very bad, the bathroom are dirty, it doesn't look like the school gets cleaned a lot. I know the janitors and they are very nice people and they work hard but we need more of them. College readiness is bad because they treat you like babies your whole high school career.
