If you are a student with academic ability and interests, you will do well at Concord High School. A child with special needs will flounder. The classroom teachers do not apply the IEP strategies and consistently integrate the goals.
Parents do not receive positive feedback, comments, or suggestions, just negative emails, when a child has not completed an assignment on time. They rarely respond to students' emails for needed clarification or feedback. The school needs more diversity in class selection and encouragement for students to explore independent studies.

Overall, Concord School District is not willing to help students, whether that be scheduling or preparing for college. The administration makes decisions on school policy, special events and curriculum without notifying or asking the help of families, students or staff. If you want to be prepared for college, this is not the school for you. They are un-attentive to seniors and you will not find out the information you need to know unless you beg for it. I feel as if I was talked down to a lot of the time by school counselors and such. I do think they have some particularly good teachers, especially in the AP Courses. The scheduling set up at the school allows you flexibility and to take as many AP courses as you want.
My school does offer many opportunities, for future careers and new experiences. It has programs, like CRTC, that help pave the way for certain jobs. This program allows students to have hands-on experiences in their preferred field.
My school also has great electives for a variety of interests. In terms of straightforward education, certain areas do lack. Whether it is in the curriculum or among teachers.
I would like to see better safety procedures at my school. I do feel like that area is somewhat lacking.
