When driving up to Community ISD it reminds me of the movie the field of dreams...if you build it they will come. The schools are located on one street literally in the middle of cornfields. It is a small community with a BIG heart and has been wonderful to attend school for the last 13 years. My teachers, administration, and coaches are like an extended family. They are my second support system and I know I can always count on them if I need anything. They are so supportive I have the Superintendents cell phone number and he encourages us to call him if we need anything. You do not find that in larger schools. I would recommend Community to anyone looking for a small town feel with great academics that prepare you for college.
When it comes to academics they're not very good at preparing students for their SAT/ACT, they usually tell us that we are going to take it a week before the test day. Despite that, they are very good and involved with their dual credit classes. In Community, some freshmen are taking dual credit classes in Texas A&M Commerce.
If there is a case that is bothering you in this school then you would have to fight for your voice to be heard because of the teachers and staff, they will dismiss you and try to tell you that they will handle it, but they won't. They only pay attention when it begins to make the school look bad.
Athletics is all based on favoritism especially football and volleyball, if someone is good at the sport they'll get the attention and perks they rightfully deserve. If someone were to have poor skills and their parent somehow importantly contribute to the school or has a high social ranking with the parents then that student will get a few privileges in athletics.

What I like about Community ISD is that its a small school and it’s easy to make friends from your first day there. I have attended Community ISD during kindergarten and now I’m a senior about to graduate in may 2022. The staff are always there to help you with anything you need like talking about any problems you have or to write a letter of recommendation for college. The high school provides so many grate opportunities for students to finger out what career they would enjoy doing. I personally love the Education program because I made a great group of friends and have learned so much from my classmates and teacher. I get to go help teach at one of the elementary schools and I love it because it helps me decide what I really want to do in my life.
