Community High School District No. 99 Reviews
Loved the classes there. I am an above average student and find the classes very challenging at DGN District 99 North High School. Teachers go above and beyond to make sure you learn and understand concepts. The STEM department is particularly wonderful. It is because of what I learned that I have chosen to major in Engineering in college. I am a Senior this year and feel confident that what I learned here will serve me quite well in college. Thanks, DGN for helping me to achieve my goals!
I love District 99! Both Downers Grove North and Downers Grove South are very inclusive and invested in their students. There are hundreds of opportunities to grow as a student and as a person. The teachers and staff are, for the most part, genuinely nice and dedicated to the students' success. The environment is very open and welcoming.
Downers Grove South, the school I attend, is much like and different from all the surrounding high schools. It is similar to other high schools in the regards that we have our cliches and groups of friends. Such is traditional for high school. However, with our sixty-plus clubs, including our four special education and general education inclusive clubs, our LGBTQ+ club, and our many and vastly different clubs for minorities, to teach about different cultures and dances, I think South outshines the other schools greatly. The staff is more diverse than any other school I've attended and the school is very dedicated to making sure that every student feels welcome, accepted, and part of a family.
