Columbus needs to better themselves up on their college readiness for minorities. As part of a minority I more than once had to chase around my counselors about getting my ACT and SAT done. While at the same time I keep seeing all of the non-minority people get chased around by counselors to get ready for aforementioned tests.
The Columbus Independent School District, while once the best in the local area, has now decreased to what I feel is one of the lowest school educations you can receive. There is almost no true student discipline and many of the faculty and staff do not teach properly or seem to care about doing so. Many improvements and qualifications need to be brought to this district if we ever want to raise it back to the standard it used to be.
I would like for there to be more sport options. Other than that, it is a pretty good school. They offer a variety of classes.
