Colonial Heights City Public Schools Reviews
The teachers that work for Colonial Heights City Public Schools are amazing. Each and every one of them takes their time to genuinely help their students! I have made all A honor roll since second grade, when I moved here, and I would not have been able to do it without the help of all of my wonderful teachers! In high school there are many clubs. I believe there is a club for everyone. Everyone has somewhere they can fit in. Since the city is so small, Colonial Heights City Public Schools are a family.
Colonial Heights is not the best but it’s home and everyone knows everyone and is friends. Our sports teams aren’t great but they play their hearts out and we all have school spirit. Every student that comes through Colonial Heights is beyond well prepared for what comes next in their lives, whether it be college or straight to the workforce. Our school provides many opportunities to earn college credit before actually going to college because they want the students to have an upper hand when applying.
During my time at Colonial Heights schools, I came into contact with amazing faculty who were on a mission to help me succeed with counselors who gave me the push to take honors and AP courses, which were incredibly worthwhile and made me feel prepared for college in a way that I am so grateful for. Teachers I’ve had the pleasure of knowing are incredibly helpful and give equal opportunity to every student. The CTE programs allow students to learn trade skills and even get certified before leaving school; it gives students an advantage whether they decide to go to college or straight into the workforce. The school is currently going through construction of new science labs which will benefit so many subsequent students with hands-on lab instruction and activities. I think the next upgrade they should do is to integrate even more technology such as more laptops, smart boards, tablets, etc. My high school experience was overall a pleasant one that made me prepared for my life journey.
