I have enjoyed my time here so far. I am currently a sophomore and I will become a junior in 1 week, after my exams. I like my teachers and have no problems with the curriculum. The only thing I would like to see change is the way the administration handles breaking the rules, especially when it comes to breaking school property. There has been a lot of recent destruction of the bathrooms at CHS and although we have cameras and hall monitors, the bathrooms continue to be assaulted and thank goodness being able to go to the bathroom in school is non-negotiable because I’m sure if it wasn’t, the school would’ve closed all of them; not just the upstairs ones. I just wish some students would grow up and stop wasting our tax money on fixing the bathrooms that didn’t have to be broken in the first place.
I liked the teachers and most of the students. Although I was bullied by students. The Administration handled it well, and it stopped quick, but ended up starting again.
Teachers provide good feedback, class activities are very inclusive, and there is an unmistakably positive sense of community which is omnipresent in each of the Colchester school district's schools (especially the high school).
