After attening Colby Public Schools since Kindergarten, I will say that there is no other place I would have rather attended. Academically I feel like I have been given the best opportunity I could have possibly recieved. The teachers and other students always made me feel like I had a place to be. I had the opportunity to be involved in many things that have shaped me as a person such as sports and other activities. I have always felt I had a place that I belonged to. I know looking back in the future, I will always have a happy feeling in my heart when I think of my time in school.

I came into this school system during the middle of my junior year of high school. I was terrified, nervous, had no idea what to expect, but they took me in with opened hearts and minds. They did there best to make me comfortable. Since I've lived here I have had so many opportunities and my educational experience has been 10x better than my previous years with another school system. The teachers are also very involved with the students which makes a more "homey" environment.
The English department is incredible, except for one teacher. My world history teacher was amazing as well. Apart from that, I feel many teachers assigned us "busy work". In addition, I don't think CPS valued the arts enough. Sure, I could express my creativity through my projects and forensics, but CPS always placed athletics above the arts. Many students need something more to express their creativity. They want to feel valuable like the athletes do.
