The Colbert County School District is a great place for your students to attend. They are striving to change the culture and personality of the schools to be more beneficial and positive for students every day! From first hand experience working in the system, I have seen the personal relationships that administration, teachers, and staff have with the students to not only cultivate their educational needs, but to ensure that the students are loved and truly cared daily.

The Colbert County School system is filled with great teachers and great programs. Students have the opportunity to excel and become productive members of the community. From core education, sports, the arts, and career tech education, Colbert County Schools has it all!
The school district has taken enormous steps to partner with local industry. To name a few: Colbert County Reporter, Constellium, First Metro Bank, the University of North Alabama, Northwest Shoals Community College, Toyota of the Shoals, etc. to name few. The Education Foundation has awarded more than $23,000 to faculty members for classroom enhancements.


The system will be graduating 4 Eagle Scouts..... The system is committed to The Scout Oath, in words and deeds.

The system hosts the only Fire Science Program in Northwest Alabama. The system rejoices in 100% CNP certification and job placement rate in Health science.

The system also hosts the only Hospitality and Tourism Experience with an emphasis in Lodging. The industry partner is with Best Western Plus.

Students have opportunities to earn dual credit with local post secondary institutions in English, Math and Science. The average honor student graduates with 9 college credits.
