Clinton is small town school that is more focused on ag related classes. While Clinton focuses on mostly Ag, Clinton does have some of the best teachers and staff in Wisconsin. All of the teachers know all of the students' names and care to push them to be better when they need to be pushed. Academics at Clinton are decent, as the teachers know what they are teaching . This applies to both core and electives. All of the shop teachers have had real world experience with what they teach .
Sports are a major part of Clinton as over a third of the students play one or more sports. Everybody knows when the sporting events are and usually watch when they can. The fine arts at Clinton, however, do not get enough credit. The band program has been excelling for the past few years and has been producing more and more young musicians every year. Both band and choir have been doing very well for many years, but the school still won't build an auditorium. The school budget isn't spread evenly.
My experience overall at CCSD has been mostly good. The academics are decent, as they do offer AP classes that challenge students at the high school level, but most of the general curriculum is not very rigorous at all. The teachers are a mixed bag, most of the teachers are phenomenal and are always willing to help, but there are some teachers that know their subject but are not very good at teaching the students the information. CCSD does provide students with ways to get involved at school and get to know their peers through sports and clubs. CCSD is a very small district, with less than 90 students graduating as the class of 2019 this spring. Although CCSD has its flaws, it is a good, community-oriented school district.
