I have been attending the Clint Independent School District for about 12 years and I am proud to say that I will be graduating from this district in 2021. For elementary, I attended Frank Macias from Pre-K to 3rd grade and that was the best experience as a child since that is the stage were you are afraid to make a new change and that school made me create my confidence. My 5th and 6th grade were taken part in Carol T. Welch and there my enthusiasm of reaching an academic goal began. For middle school, I attended Horizon Middle School and Ricardo Estrada Junior high, in those stages I learnt how to appreciate my self thanks to my counselors, they lead me to the path that I am in today. Lastly, High School was the hardest decision in my whole life! I could not decide if to attend Horizon High School or Clint Early College. But, guess what? I Chose the early college and I am so grateful that I had the chance to finish high school and college at the same time.

The academic realm of the distict is overall average as I have experienced teachers who lead a non learning enviornment. The class room is the space where acceleration and growth should be encouraged and instead, an "Oh well" tone is estabilished. Knowledge is only conveyed when the students put in their undivided attention and unfortunately, most teachers dont create an attention-cathching mood.
Even through unprefferable conditions, I have found unsung heroes that keep the district running. More attention should be drawn to areas where students will be affected directly. A better wifi system is uncomparable to a caring teacher. In school, us students often forget our reason for being present. To improve teacher, student, and family experiences I would advise for you to take a look at what potential is hidden throught the campuses.
Living in a low-income district, I’ve never felt that I lacked or was receiving less educational benefits just because of where I live. The Clint Independent School District provides for its students, and assists them in situations regarding any aspect of their lives. I’ve been given the privilege to learn in such a technologically advanced and well-rounded learning environment, and because of this amazing school district, they’ve given students who may not have always been able to provide for themselves, a hope and dream to accomplish much more in life.
