The Experience I had at Cleburne Co. High School changed my life. It took me to a higher level of learning is would never imagine. The education I got from Vocational teacher has taught me that it is okay to work with your hands. Also, We have one of the greatest Football programs in the state!

As a parent and a graduate from Cleburne County High School I see that things are still the same. The facility is really nice, if you seek help with furthering your education you have to ask, the help isn't available. The proper resources are not at hand. As far as the sports programs once you reach varsity if you are not white you will not have any help at all. The varsity football coach told my child that he would never start as quarterback. This is a position that my child has started at all his life, even junior high. The coach doesn't try to help children get scholarships. But on the other hand Heflin is a small town, and it's very safe.
I often find that some teachers simply dont care, of course there are some such as Mr. And Mrs. Baker or coach Kevin Boyd who are absolutely amazing, but some teachers dimply dont care.
