I go to Clarkstown North High School and went to Felix Festa Middle School, and I have to say, the academics here are GREAT! The level of college readiness at North is definitely up there. The classes are mostly rigorous and the environment consists of healthy competitions. Students at North are some of the smartest students you'll ever meet. At North, there are so many different college courses offered, such as APs, IBs, SUPAs, U at Albany courses, and RCC courses.

I am now in my senior year of high school and have been a Clarkstown Central School District student since kindergarten. Now that I am graduating and moving on to college I have realized that my past experiences with CCSD have prepared me very well for college. For the most part the schools are up to date, safe and clean. The only school complaint I have is that my current high school, Clarkstown North, doesn't have A/C, the heat breaks frequently and cockroaches are not an uncommon sight. I have made many relationships with fantastic teachers throughout the years who have encouraged me and made my studies painless. While the diversity is nothing to praise, I have made a disperse group of great friends over the years through various clubs, sports and just attending school. Overall I am happy I attended CCSD because it has given me the tools needed to succeed and move on to college.
Clarkstown Central School Districts encourages growth and development to its students. The school district has small class sizes and excellent teachers. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves by taking the many AP, Honors, and College credit courses that are offered. Students are also given many opportunities to help the surrounding community by joining the numerous extra circular activities. There is a strong connection the school administration and parents. However, many of the buildings are old and need repairs, but the excellent education outweighs aesthetics.
