I have enjoyed my time at Chippewa Valley! I love the desire to see change by our principle and teachers. Many of my fellow student leaders strive to make a difference and help bring change to our school’s culture. Little by little we have developed a more diverse, communicative, kind atmosphere through our various activities and groups. For example, U-Matter week and the Black Lives Matter club are two prevalent factors in our school. I hope to see Chippewa continue to push past barriers and exceed greatness well after I am gone.
Chippewa Valley High School is a public school in Clinton twp. Michigan. Overall, the school is most widely known for football as we won the state championships in 2018. However, Chippewa has offered me opportunities to join fun and unique clubs as well as get involved. Through high school I have had the opportunity to take honors, AP, Dual enrollment, and be involved school wide. These are things that truly make me thankful for my high school. The negative experiences with Chippewa Valley High School have been the students' behaviors around me. There have been a few many fights in the hallways, and a few threats through my years here, this is my least favorite thing about my high school.
I have been going to Chippewa Valley School since my 7th grade year, I have had good and bad experiences. The teachers and educational half has been an up and down roller coaster almost every year. The sports side has a always been excellent as well as parent involvement and the amount of clubs we have. Chippewa has had some difficulty with fights in the past 2-3 years, but this year it has gotten a lot better and more calm now. The staff for sure cares about our safety and the environment where we have to learn in for 6 hours. The principal is extremely involved with the students! I love the principal he will bend over backwards for each individual student if he had to with the help of his fellow staff members that supports him just as much as he supports us! I have learned so much and met so many people which helped me connect with certain people who are willing to help me succeed in my future after high school.
