Chico Independent School District Reviews

Chico is your normal small town but we have a very bad drug problem. Today a kid got arrested for possession on Campus. It's the second time this year ( that I know of) that this has happened. On the flip side, my school has a very good Theater Arts program that I particulate in currently. I really would like to change the budget for theater classes and plays. This year we had a $300 dollar budget and used all the money to sell popcorn so we could make more money to use for props. Chico high school also has a really bad bullying problem that I wish we could change but nothing really seems to work.

I like the small school setting because you know your teachers and they know you. However, being at a small school also doesn't give many options for electives or organizations. You have to be involved in everything otherwise sports and clubs wouldn't exist.
They HAVE to say they are antibullying ect because it is state law. But they do nothing but minimize it. No investigation of it like the law requires. So ACLU complaint sent!
I saw a concerned Mom ask about bullying of her child and the school board member said " oh there's a 24 hr rule so we cant talk for 24 hrs!" This is God's honest hand on bible. Small town corrupt school.
His own kid told a substitute teacher ( after she told her to be quiet) " hey if you are rude my Dad can fire you!" Some school!
