Chelsea School District Reviews
The teachers were good, for the most part, but the students had hardly any control or discipline. Some of the faculty, particularly the ones involved with the discipline, did not seem to care about the students. They do allow students for the VAST program, however. While many schools allow only one senior to attend the VAST program, Chelsea allowed for as many as were accepted. The VAST program is a dual enrollment program that allows for students to have a full year of college, and the tuition is covered b the state.
The Chelsea community is small, which allows Chelsea students to meet with their teachers one on one and gain a relationship with them that will benefit the student later in life. The classrooms consist of no more than 16 kids per class, which is nice for kids who have trouble in big groups. I wish that the Chelsea school would pay more attention to student bullying and take action when it is noticed. I also wish that Chelsea had more opprutinities for clubs and outside activities.
Chelsea provided a great environment to learn and grow, but the small size of the school sometimes meant limited opportunities. The lack of diversity at the school and in the area is also in some ways a drawback.
