Chatham Central School District Reviews
I have been a part of the Chatham School District all my life. Every single teacher I have had, was amazing. They were always willing set time aside for their students, lunch time, free periods, and after school. None of the teachers I have had in Chatham has ever made me feel insignificant or silly. They have all always taken all of my problems and questions seriously, and were willing to do all they could to make sure I was actually learning. The course selection at Chatham High School is large, and in some cases, unique to Chatham. The language selection is not large however, and is actually shrinking, though that is understandable for such a small school district. Overall, my experience at Chatham Central School has been remarkable, the main reason being the wonderful teachers who have helped shape me into the person I am today.
Teachers and faculty are willing to work with you, whether you have disabilities or not. In around 7th grade, the school begins to prepare you for colleges by looking at different local colleges and looking at many different careers. The school is very good at helping students reach their creative side with a selection of different art classes in the high school such as wood shop and ceramics as well as a number of clubs a student can join or even start if they wish.
I graduated in 2015 and didn't realize until after I attended college that Chatham is a pretty great district. I had personal connections with my teachers and was very focused on learning. I felt very safe while at school, I didn't feel like I was in danger due to the level of caring that our faculty and staff had. We also have a wonderful arts department which helped me choose my field in college.
