Charles City Community School District Reviews
Charles City School District has come a long way to engage the student and prepare him/ her for the world in which they will live as adults. I’ve been so impressed in the investment in facilities, security and new curriculum K-12. The brand new Middle School is leading the state in project based learning, interdisciplinary education, creative and critical problem solving. The work these kids are doing is amazing! I love this school district!
Overall, Charles City High School is average. It isn't the school's fault but there are many more schools with better funding. The teachers at the school genuinely care about their students and want to see them succeed. They forge great relationships with their students and the administration has gone to great lengths to make sure their seniors have a good year despite COVID-19.
The schools within the Charles City Community School District is not only an amazing place to work but it is also a wonderful place to educate children. While I am the building principal at Washington Elementary School, I am also a mother to four children who are getting an amazing education from some of the very best teachers in our state. Watching my children grow and excel in academics, athletics and citizenship is very gratifying to us.
