Chardon Local School District have provided me with an excellent education. The staff and faculty truly care about their students, both in and out of school. Often times a teacher is also a coach, which allows the student to foster a relationship and confide in someone they know outside of a professional setting. There are numerous clubs and activities for students to participate in, such as Ski/Snowboard Club, Physics Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Science Olympiad. They offer challenging courses, such as honors-level and Advanced Placement, for students who are capable of achieving at a faster pace with more difficult curricula. The guidance department is very supportive and provides lots of information for any career goal the student may have in mind. The students themselves are inclusive and have strong school spirit, with several of them participating in many activities at once. I would definitely recommend Chardon Local School District!

Chardon Schools have really gone downhill in the past few years. I’m not sure if it is because of new board members. Teachers having affairs with students, Staff members poorly treating students, the inappropriate remarks towards young girls from the gym teacher/baseball coach, and the favoritism played by the theater arts instructor. My kids and many of their friends have complained to me and other parents of the school about the poor behavior displayed by authority figures. Although, on a better note, the school does display excellent team spirit.
Also, I hear teachers are giving students bonus points in class if they write great reviews on this website?!
I loved all the diversity the school had to offer! Amazing sports, great work staff and teachers! It really felt like home when I was there. I met up with friends all the time. We would walk around town because of how small it was and almost everyone knew everyone! Couldn't have asked for a better high school to graduate from!
