Central Valley High School is the best place for those who want to get involved in the community with its various clubs and classes that promote outside involvement. For example, I took a Career's in Education class that allowed me to get first hand experience in a 2nd grade classroom; working with the kids and teaching them lessons. It was a very good experience that I would recommend to any that have an interest in teaching. Also the sports teams and school spirit are really good. Many LEADERSHIP students go out of the way to make school activities, memorable and enjoyable; such as with assemblies and events. You will not regret going to this school. If you choose Central Valley, I'm sure you will have fun.

My experience at Central Valley Highschool was very good. The school is big with over 2,000 kids so I feel like it’s easy to get out of a sticky situation. However, with it being so big sometimes you can feel like you don’t matter. That is what I would say the only downfall is. The sports are excellent. We win our league often in almost all sports, so sporting events are typically packed in the student section. Overall, my experience was very good and I am glad I attended Central Valley Highschool.
CV school district offers a wide variety of classes for students to explore their career options and learn what they do and don’t like. They offer AP classes and a running start program. The schools are always preparing students for their next step. However, post graduation they do a poor job of showing students their options. Teachers and advisors push college as the only option and tell you you’ll fail if you don’t go to college. They make a great effort to push scholarships as well, but fail to give students resources to find those scholarships. As a past student I was extremely unimpressed by the career couselor and how he talks to students that don’t have a 4.0 or further education plan.
The majority of the teachers are very supportive of students and willing to help them catch up on their studies. The sports program is wonderful and the coaches are amazing.
