There is a lot of staff at Central that care deeply about their students and their wellbeing. During this online learning, there have been a lot of teachers who don't want to overwhelm students and understand that we are not in normal times right now. They prioritize mental health and advocating for yourself. Most teachers want to see their students succeed and do great things after high school.
There has not been a very large variety of classes to choose from while I have attended this school. Teachers often do not have much authority over students which results in fist fights, drug dealing, skipping classes, etc all on premises. Although, teachers and staff do put a lot of effort into making the high school feel like a safe and resourceful place for students. Many of the teachers are very good at providing extra time and resources to help students understand materials and complete assignments/assessments.
Central is a very good school to go to. It is very inclusive and has a culture of inclusivity and positivity. Central is great at dealing with mental health, with resources posted in the halls and people to talk to whenever.
