I am a junior at Carrollton high school and have been in the school system since pre-k. All of my years in the system have been great. The teachers mostly seem to be involved in the education of their students, with a willingness to help. The school is very diverse, and I feel as though all the students are respected in the level that they deserve. The campus is very open, and has a very high level of comfort and safety as we as students navigate the campus throughout the day. The administration has rules in place that I feel like apply in all circumstances to help make the system maintain a great environment for the students. The teachers are great! As a student, I can see their dedication to their job and their excitement while teaching in their own convenient and beneficial way. Overall, I rate the Carrollton city school system as excellent.
I've been in this school system since 1st grade. I've met a lot of wonderful teachers along the way, but I've met a lot of not-so-great ones too. This school prides itself with its sports teams, especially football, so it kind of neglects everything else. The facilities aren't terrible, they're average for a public school. There's a lot of diversity among the students, and the academics are well rounded. There's a bunch of clubs and ways to get involved with the community.
Carrollton City Schools are an awesome in the clubs and activities that they offer, and the inclusiveness of all students is shown. My guidance counselors though have room for improvement, my guidance for college and career planning, and understanding has been from my mom. I did not feel that my guidance counselor every had a true interest in me.
