I grew up in Carroll, and I wouldn’t change much. All the schools have a great sense of spirit and pride, and the teachers are wonderful. They were always willing to help, and easy to understand. Carroll is also great in preparing kids for college! As much as high school seemed to suck from a student's perspective, it really did prepare them well. Because the teachers pushed them, and helped them with the process since kindergarten, college really wasn't much of a step up and so graduates are better prepared for classes. This district is also safe, clean and fun for the kids. Each campus has a great resource officer, to help protect the school throughout the day. All of them are super friendly. About the only thing I would change about the school, is the cafeteria food. It doesn't really change or improve as kids grow, but more options get offered with time. Over all the district is great, especially for kids who like to learn, and aren't afraid to make lots of lifelong friends.
Review Carroll Independent School District
When my daughter was 5, we found a home in Carroll ISD. I wanted her to go to the BEST schools possible. Her first school was fantastic; the teachers, the principal, the support staff - my daughter loved it. Carroll is an interesting district, because after 4th grade the kids change schools every 2 years. I liked this aspect. It was stimulating and challenging for the kids to adapt to the change. Academically, the school district is hard, and there are a LOT of very bright kids all competing against each other, for best in class, best in sports, best in dress and even best in cars. It IS a wealthy district, BUT the parents and school administrators are very involved and most of them try hard to keep their privileged kids grounded. Overall, we enjoyed it, and my daughter has great memories of her days there. I appreciate our time in the district, and hope they will continue t
I wouldn't have wanted to attend any other school district. This district does such an amazing job preparing students for college, through encouragement from great teachers and a competitive academic environment. However, there is a pretty obvious lack in diversity, and technologic resources are definitely not the best.
