Teachers are great with students and really want them to be successful! Music and sports programs are great! Schools are clean and parents are involved in PTA, Boosters to help improve school. Feel like I am prepared for college and are able to attend CC Technology program or Carroll Community college junior an senior year is helpful. Food could be better but I am picky and just bring my lunch. Lots of resources are available for special needs kids too

The schools that I have attended in Carroll County Maryland are amazing. They have provided an excellent education with a great focus on community and extracurricular activities. I have attended Freedom Elementary, Oklahoma Middle School and Liberty High School all in Eldersburg, MD. The career and college readiness provided through Liberty and the support from my counselor Ms. Hewitt are beyond compare. I have been extremely fortunate.
Overall, Carroll County public schools are great places for your children to be in. Their academics are outstanding with multiple AP level classes and the new AP Capstone seminar class at Century that will help prepare students for college. The only downside is the lack of diversity from a mostly caucasian community. Also, the county is very Republican so if you are super liberal then you may not want to live here. The one aspect that people in Carroll County can improve on is their lack of open-mindedness. Other than that, the education system is impeccable.
