Carlisle Local School District Reviews
Carlisle High School is a small school. I have attended the district all of my school years thus far. The faculty are great! I have been able to participate in CCP courses the last 2 years. My only issue has been that since I did not test gifted in 2nd grade, I have not been given the opportunities that I believe I was eligible for. I should have been taking high school classes in 8th grade. This had held me back from my full academic potential. Overall however, I do think the school deserves a top rating. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to rate my high school.
Carlisle high school is about your average Ohio small town school. Very little diversity and not a lot of open mindedness in the student body. Often times the new classes or programs added into the district are poorly executed and a waste of a class period. The new school buildings and music programs are definitely making the district better but recently that seems the be some of the only improvements. Often times I felt alienated for speaking out for things such as gay rights, female equality and racial diversity. All in all the best way to describe the school is that it is a small school in a small town. It's a safe town and comfortable to grow up in as a child but as a young adult doesn't offer much.
I had an overall good experience with the Carlisle Local School district. Most of the educators kept good teaching standards in their classrooms. Advanced versions of class were offered so students like myself wouldn't lose interest. Multiple extracurriculars are offered to students k-12. Carlisle is a small school district so all the students, staff, and coaches know each other. The only complaint I ever had about the school was about the status of the building. The original school which is now the middle school is over 100 years old and is falling apart. Also, there is heating and conditioning problems in all the buildings. However, the school district finally passed the levy to start the construction of the new schools. After the new schools are built I believe that the Carlisle Local School district will attract many more students and only improve their academic standards in the improved learning environment.
