Canyon ISD is a phenomenal school district with outstanding academic, athletic, and fine arts programs. The students are respectful, the teachers are excellent, and the administrators are all very welcoming and helpful. From kindergarten through twelfth grade, each student is valued and prioritized. I can think of no detail which slips by Canyon ISD--this school district is incomparable in all aspects.

There's a lot that's great about Canyon: it's a small town, so it's safe, and easy to get to know everyone and make plans for school activities. We have a lot of school pride, and tradition. Plus, we have a University in town, so College isn't so far out of sight.
However, being situated in the middle of the Bible belt, there is a ton of school controversy facing issues such as the dress code, LGBT+ community, the ethnic communities, and atheism/agnosticism, which leads to student body disagreement. I feel that our board of trustees do well in their individual jobs, but I also feel that they are underqualified to run a school district, as none of them have ever taught school, nor do they possess degrees in education.
Canyon Independent School District is an amazing district to grow up in. They have the mentality of success. Canyon never settles for anything less than greatness and strives to be top-quality. Canyon teachers strive to form personal relationships with students through teaching subjects in school, but also life lessons. Canyon Independent School District shows the importance of an education to all who attend these schools.
