Canton Independent School District Reviews
Great district with good college ready academics. This school is one of the best in East Texas. Sports are always competitive and the teachers and coaches are good. Fine arts are ok but watch out for the band parents. A few of them are psycho. Choir and theater are awesome. Discipline is good and what kids need these days. If your a parent that coddles your kid and blames teachers and administrators for their problems, they won't make it here. Glad my kids graduated from here!
Canton is definitely a school that focuses well on a lot of their academics and co-curricular activities. Classes are AT MOST well represented, but they don’t all have what students need. The physics program is a little sad and the Spanish is well done just needs a tune up!
The best thing I love about Canton High School is how everyone holds you to a certain standard. Everyone pushes you to be the best student you can, even the teachers you don't have. All administrators and staff celebrate your successes and everyone is always involved in things going on throughout the school. I love how much school spirit there is throughout every class at CHS. Everyone is always so supporting of every club, group, or sport that anyone is apart of.
