Canton City School District did not have the best curriculum, but the teachers and the experiences inside the classroom really did teach me a lot. I go to Timken Early College, and I have been given wonderful opportunities through the program. I find that being active within my school has helped me enjoy my high school experience more fully. In the end I wouldn’t want to go any place else.

I've been a CCSD student since kindergarten. When I was younger, I never had much to say about school other than I enjoyed it, but now that I'm in high school, I have a stronger perception. McKinley is rich in diversity and different cultures, we have outstanding sport teams, and all of my teachers have cared about my education. It was tough to rate McKinley because even though I had a good experience there, I know there's a plethora of students that didn't. If you take harder, more challenging classes, you will gain a good education. The teachers in charge of standard classes do not care. Having said that, you also have advanced teachers that aren't doing a good job. Students with more setbacks, whether financial or academic, should be given the opportunity to try and gain different opportunities for sure.
The teachers really care about their students success, but it seems the administrators do not. The course work can be decided by the students, and their are many opportunities for college and career readiness.
