It's a great school! In my four years I have never had any problem at this high school, the staff is wonderful and extremely helpful. The guidance department is wonderful to help the seniors get prepared for college. The classes definitely prepare you for tests and on-going education.
Review Canon-McMillan School District
I've attended Canon-McMillan school district for a total of 4 years. Second and third grade, and ninth and tenth grade. Although they offer a variety of classes (they have the most AP classes in the area), I think they do not have enough resources and staff to support the amount of students they have at that school. Each class is bigger and bigger and they do not have any room to put them, therefore certain classes are so big that I feel you don't get much individualized attention. I feel like my elementary math skills weren't as strong because the teacher I had in 3rd grade did not care to see if I understood the materials or not.
Overall, my experience in the Canon McMillan School District has been pretty good. Most of the teachers truly love their students and are always there for students with whatever they would need. I personally have had an excellent experience within the music program. All of the directors really want to help you improve musically and as a person. My only big issue with this district has been the School Board's unwillingness to change. There have been multiple offers on the table to help improve our district and the school board has rejected them.
