Canaseraga Central School District Reviews

2 reviews
The school is located in the poorest county in the state and is located in a very small town. There is nothing wrong with this, but it makes it difficult to educate students with "excellence".

There ARE some quality teachers at CCS who work closely with the students to help them succeed, especially in the elementary grades, but also in the Middle/Highschool. Unfortunately the poor quality of advanced academic options (in math & science specifically) and the lack of college readiness needs to be addressed.

The school is in the middle of a possible merger with our neighboring district (Arkport Central) in hopes that this will improve the quality of education for the students and offer more opportunities with more diversity. This is not the first time a merger has been attempted, but it seems that this is what has become necessary in order to improve future success of it's graduates.

My experience at CCS throughout the 7 years that I have attended were the best years of the my school career. The faulty and staff are always nice and willing to help me with anything I had trouble with. The class to teacher ratio is perfect because it allows students to get a "one on one" education. I have had no issues while attending this school from 6th to present.
