The teachers are very bias. This is an extremely small town school where everyone knows everybody. There are many cliques and people know everything about one another. The education system isn’t the best. A lot of teachers hardly taught and saw this job as an easy 40 hour a week position.
Cambria Heights School District is a school with an average of 110 graduating students, and I vastly prefer it over some bigger school.
Cambria Heights was my school from the time I started in kindergarten up until I graduated in 2020. Overall the school was amazing. Helpful teachers and wonderful programs. The extracurriculars were all equal in importance, and no one put anyone else down for who they were or what they did.
Cambria Heights is what you would expect from the area. Students have a strong sense of community. There are many opportunities for extracurriculars, especially due to excellent music and theater programs.
Almost all the teachers at CH are great and really care about their students. I love the sense of community you feel at our school. If I could change one thing, it would be the bias toward opportunities.
Cambria Heights is an amazing school! All of the teachers are very helpful and want you to succeed in life.
I would like to see the school put more effort into children's safety. I also wish to see that the administration put more effort into mental health resources.
Cambria Heights is located in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Our school district encompasses three boroughs: Hastings, Patton, & Carrolltown. We are a close knit community. Our school is like family. We recently lost one of our classmates due to a pulmonary embolism. She was a junior at our high school. The community pulled together to help support the parents during this time of great loss and sorrow. When there is someone in need, everyone pulls together to help lift them up. That is what I love about my school.
Significantly much less bullying although still small town politics than surrounding school districts. Friendship encouraged and practiced. Great academic opportunities. Clubs and groups for everyone's interests and peer groups. Outstanding educators. High standardized test scores, but high test scores otherwise, as well. Sense of community.
Cambria Heights is a complicated place. It's home to some of the brightest students and some of the greatest teachers you'll ever meet but then also the complete opposite. The only thing that could really help this school is more money because that is what is holding back it's students and faculty. That could keep it's programs and improve the learning environment. I've had some truly great experiences here, in their science and theater programs, and hope those stay so other students can have those experiences too.
Cambria Heights has provided me with a great grade school education. I had the opportunity to take college credit classes and expand my knowledge on many different things. The school has a great curriculum and I'm now ready to move on to new things.
Cambria Heights has excellent teachers and are very caring about their students and education. The only thing i would change which is takinh place this year is yhey are up grading byilding foe safety. Not that are school is not safe but thay are improving safety for our school.
It was small and close to home. I had classes with a lot of my friends so it was easy to meet up and study or work on assignments together.
It was a very accepting school. there was never a lot of bullying and everyone was very helpful to one another. the teaches really wanted to see their students succeed and would let you know when you were doing a good job or if you need to improve. The only thing that needed improvement was the clubs and extracurricular activities. There was not a lot to do besides sports and student leadership.
I like the atmosphere of of school, I also really like the learning systems in our school district. I am very involved in the sports at our school and we have very good sports teams. Cambria Heights is definitely a school that needs renovated and it is currently in the process of being done.
Put more time into education and less in sports. Give the students more information about colleges and resources needed to attend them.
While I have attended high school at Cambria Heights, I have really grown to love the teachers. The teachers spend many hours and class periods helping students and creating a great bond with their kids. I have grown to love that the teachers help every kid like they are their own and try to accommodate all of their needs.
