I love the calcasieu parish school district. At bell city high school, everyone is family, and what could be better that having family even away from home. We are so welcoming and we continue to grow within our school each year. I'd much rather bell city high school, in calcasieu parish, over any other school. Your teachers are more than just your teacher, it's a relationship where you bond with your teacher while still learning, you can not get any better than that! Parents are so involved and will go out of their way to help improve and grow with the kids. It's amazing to watch kids from pre-k grow into amazing and smart young adults, and the best part is, you have followed every step of the way, all because our little community we call bell city, gives you many opportunities like these to cherish and remember!

We have attended Prien Lake Elementary, SJ Welsh middle school, and Barbe High School. Great teachers! Advanced classes available for advanced students. College prepared. Many AP classes. Competitive athletics. Very satisfied.
I have been in Calcasieu Parish Public School System since my fifth grade year. This public school system has provided me with a great education and school experience. I am now in my last year of high school, and I am very grateful that I was in this school system throughout most of my school years. This school system has a very good expectation and reward system. As the students pushed themselves and grew academically, our school board would reward them with pizza parties and other extras kids enjoy. Doing this, it taught kids that as they bettered and pushed themselves, they were rewarded, much like in the job world. In a career, as you thrive and better yourself, you obtain greater positions. I would recommend this school system to anyone!
