Cajon Valley has a focus on Common core math and learning English. The districts students who are actual citizens are falling through the educational cracks due to the focus on Refugees excelling. Feels as if they are trying to dumb down educational standards!
I spent my entire Elementary education in this district. I only attended one School and felt I got a great education. Often it was more important how well I connected with my teachers than what they were teaching me. When I felt they cared, I learned a lot and ultimately this allowed me to go into my middle and high school years prepared for the rigor of college preparation. I was at a school that had a well rounded program which included academics, physical education, and a great deal of attention to the arts. This variety constantly kept me interested in learning and helped me to excel in all subject areas.
I loved the school spirit that was present at the Cajon Valley Union school district. The teachers, resources and facilities are also very good. One think that needs improvement is the food.
