An improvement in the surveillance of how students treat one another is tantamount to improving the Cabell county school district. Although I myself have not had personal issues with safety, a loved one of mine has been bullied and sexually harassed in school to the point that they were afraid to speak out. Closer monitoring of students, dispensation of funds to more than just sports clubs, and a vastly improved food quality for students must be considered.

Cabell county schools has provided me with a solid education through rudimentary and secondary schools. Overall, my education has left me feeling prepared for college and confident in my skills. Although, most of the faculty proves to be involved with the students and their education, at the high school level receiving assistance and advice regarding post secondary education is extremely weak. Students do not have access to appropriate resources to explore their options after high school. I have been fortunate enough to have outside resources, but some of my classmates may not be as fortunate. I have enjoyed my time in the school system which has taught me a multitude of valueable life skills and sparked my interest in learning.
Cabell County Schools try to operate on an organized system which achieves well to a certain extent. When discussing the schools in general, the schedules are well-organized; however, other cases such as the food, handling inclement weather, the newly added "academies" for the 2017-2018 school year is another story. The food served to the students at the Cabell County Schools is unappetizing. I have seen rotten food, unhealthy meal combinations, and poorly prepared sandwiches/meals. During times of inclement weather, most counties will ensure the safety of their students, prepare for what the forecast shows, and call at appropriate times. On the other hand, Cabell County Schools are always operating on days of dangerous weather conditions, and if there were a change to the regular school day, they will call the students' houses in the middle of the night.
