I loved the people in my schools and how much some staff care. There were a lot of open minded people. The things I would change would be the people that are higher up in the district because I believe some don’t care, but it’s usually in all schools. I’ve been in the district since 3rd grade and as time goes on more and more people come to better what is already there.
I started at Burton Elementary my first grade year and I have been there for the rest of my education. I am now a senior in Highschool and if it wasn't for the amazing opportunities that I have been given through the district I would not be in the place I am right now. The opportunities are endless and the support is massive. The district works hard to help every single one of their students succeed in life. It is their mission and it is a mission they are accomplishing.
Burton Elementary School District has an amazing learning environment for pre-school students, all the way up to senior year in high school. I have been Attending Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, a public high school at the district, for three years now, and it has brought many changes to my life; I've learned and grown not only educationally but also as a person. SCCA also offers dual enrollment, which lets you take care college classes while still attending high school, adding the probability of graduation with your high school diploma and your associates degree.
