For years the online communication with grades has been horrible. We have ParentVue, StudentVue, Schoology. Why can't there be ONE system in this world of technology that we have? Grades are not ever current or accurate. One system does not speak to the other system showing inaccurate information thus parents have an inaccurate account of what their kids grades really are thus resulting in increased anxiety and emotions in the household.

District 191 provides quality education to a diverse and welcoming community. My children are currently in elementary school but we've had great experiences at the middle school and high school. For example, the high school basketball coach and players worked with the elementary students at basketball clinics. It was so fun to see those high schoolers connecting with the little ones. Burnsville has excellent educational opportunities including small class sizes and a variety of class choices, has an amazing arts and theater program and an active athletic community. In my firsthand experience, I don't know how or why the district has a bad reputation. We've had nothing but positive experiences.
Sent three kids through the district and could not be any happier. BHS recently established a new pathways curriculum that is getting national accolades, which addresses both those seeking college prep as well as skills to enter the workforce right after HS. BHS is #1 in U of M's CIS program. Wide range of extra curriculars. School of has turned diversity into a advantage. Love the teachers.
